Ricki Lake Reflects on Two Years Since Facelift: “No Regrets”
Ricki Lake, the former talk show host, is celebrating a milestone-two years since she underwent a facelift. The 57-year-old marked the anniversary on Instagram, sharing a series of before-and-after photos and reflecting on her decision to have the procedure.
“Happy 2 year anniversary to me,” Lake wrote on July 18, revealing she had a deep plane lower face and neck lift combined with a mild CO2 laser treatment. She credited her recent 40-pound weight loss as a key reason for choosing surgery, explaining that the loose skin under her chin didn’t improve on its own.
“In 2023, after losing 40 pounds over a year, I didn’t like the extra skin hanging from below my chin,” she said, posting makeup-free selfies alongside the transformation images. “It was never going to tighten up by itself. I took a leap of faith and I’m so grateful I did.”
Lake praised her surgeon, Dr. Allen Foulad, for delivering long-lasting results and expressed satisfaction with her choice. She also welcomed the growing openness among celebrities about cosmetic procedures, noting it helps reduce stigma.
“I’m glad to see many people sharing their plastic surgery journeys in recent years,” Lake added.
The TV personality previously spoke about her facelift during a June 2025 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, describing it as “the best facelift I’ve ever seen.” She emphasized her transparency about the procedure, stating she wanted to normalize conversations around plastic surgery.
Host Andy Cohen complimented her appearance, saying, “It looks so good!” and joked about considering similar treatment himself.
Ricki Lake joins other well-known figures like Kris Jenner and Rosie O’Donnell in publicly discussing their own facelift experiences, reflecting a broader trend of celebrities embracing honesty about cosmetic enhancements.
