Taylor Swift is set to add another prestigious accolade to her impressive career by being inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame (NaSHOF) this fall.
Following her recent induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Swift will join the Class of 2026 as one of five new honorees. She will be recognized in the contemporary songwriter/artist category, making her the youngest inductee in NaSHOF history-mirroring her record as the youngest ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Swift will be joining an elite group of past inductees including Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Jimmy Buffett, Bob Dylan, and Johnny Cash.
During a livestream announcement, Mark Ford, executive director of NaSHOF, shared a statement from Swift expressing her deep connection to Nashville. “From the time I started writing songs as a child, I fixated on Nashville as the perfect place to be,” she said. “I wanted to learn with and from the best and get to immerse myself in a community of storytellers, and thankfully Nashville turned out to be exactly what I’d dreamed of.”
She praised the city for its commitment to hard work, creativity, and persistence, noting, “Where the writers show up to work every day even when the mysterious muses and the magic don’t.” Swift closed by saying, “To be honored by this city I love so much is a beautiful thing, and I’m very grateful.”
This year’s other inductees include Shawn Camp, known for writing hits for Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton; Lee Thomas Miller, songwriter for Brad Paisley and Chris Stapleton; Bruce Channel, famous for his classic “Hey! Baby!”; and Lyle Lovett, who will be honored in the veteran songwriter/artist category.
The new inductees will be formally celebrated at the invitation-only 56th Anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala later this year.
