Foreigner has unveiled plans for a new acoustic tour set for spring 2027, offering fans an intimate and unique way to experience their classic hits. The “Foreigner Unplugged” tour will feature four performances across Europe in some of the continent’s most renowned venues.
The tour kicks off on Monday, April 12, at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre, followed by a show at London’s Palladium on Wednesday, April 14. The band will then perform at Paris’s L’Olympia on Friday, April 16, before concluding in Vienna at Globe Wien on Sunday, April 18. Supporting guest artist Billy Lockett will join the lineup.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. local time on Wednesday, September 9, with a fan pre-sale available starting Monday, September 7, also at 10 a.m.
This acoustic setup features a quartet including Luis Carlos Maldonado on vocals, Jeff Pilson handling bass and keyboards, Bruce Watson on guitar, and Michael Bluestein on keyboards. Maldonado stepped in as frontman following longtime lead singer Kelly Hansen’s departure from touring in 2025. Founding guitarist Mick Jones, the band’s sole remaining original member, ceased touring around 2022 due to a Parkinson’s diagnosis but remains involved behind the scenes.
Fans can look forward to stripped-down renditions of Foreigner’s iconic hits from the 1970s and ’80s, such as “I Want to Know What Love Is” and “Cold as Ice.” The band boasts nine Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hits, including timeless tracks like “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” “Double Vision,” “Hot Blooded,” and “Urgent.” Notably, “I Want to Know What Love Is” reached number one in both the U.S. and the U.K. and has surpassed one billion streams on Spotify.
This acoustic venture follows Foreigner’s recent successful co-headlining “Double Trouble” tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Alongside the European acoustic dates, the band will embark on a 30-city U.S. tour beginning September 16 in Las Vegas and wrapping up February 21 in Miami. This extensive tour coincides with the expanded reissue of their 1979 album Head Games, scheduled for October.
Formed in 1976 in New York City by Mick Jones, Ian McDonald, and Lou Gramm, Foreigner will also be marking their 50th anniversary in 2027, adding an extra layer of significance to these upcoming performances.
