Christopher Aaron Nicks, younger brother of Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks, has passed away at age 72 after a private battle with cancer lasting two and a half years.
The news was shared by his daughter, Nixi Parkinson Nicks, on Instagram on Friday, September 4. Accompanying a heartfelt photo of her holding her father’s hand, she wrote, “second star to the right, and straight on till morning. i love you, daddy. rest easy.”
In a longer tribute posted to her Instagram Story, Nixi revealed that Christopher died early that morning, surrounded by family. She expressed the difficulty of sharing the news, explaining that her father had kept his illness private to avoid causing worry.
