Russian Boy, 12, Fatally Stabbed After Being Lured by Teenage Girls Inspired by Disturbing TikTok Content
A tragic incident unfolded near Moscow, Russia, where 12-year-old Maxim Titov was fatally stabbed after reportedly being lured to his death by two teenage girls, aged 15 and 16. Authorities say the girls allegedly planned the killing, driven by a disturbing curiosity to “see a person die and feel like executioners.”
According to local law enforcement sources, the suspects purchased gloves and knives and invited Maxim under the pretense of meeting for a beer at an abandoned building in the village of Kabanovo, near Orekhovo-Zuevo. Reports indicate they even agreed to leave their phones behind to avoid detection.
Investigations have pointed to a troubling link between the crime and violent videos circulating on TikTok. One of the girls reportedly shared videos depicting brutal “games” where characters harm others, fueling their dark fascination.
Both suspects have been detained on suspicion of premeditated murder. One of the girls had recently secured a place at a medical college as a trainee nurse, while the other planned a career in tourism. Law enforcement and family sources reveal the 15-year-old has confessed to her involvement and expressed remorse.
Maxim’s mother, Anzhela Titova, 32, shared her anguish, recalling her repeated attempts to reach her son on the night he went missing. “His phone was on, but no one answered,” she said. She also noted troubling accounts from her son’s friends about one of the girls being seen with a knife.
Authorities say the murder had been in planning since August 20, highlighting a chilling premeditation behind the attack. The community continues to grapple with the shocking nature of this loss and the disturbing motivations behind it.
