Alan Ritchson, known for his role as Jack Reacher on Amazon Prime Video, and his wife Catherine have announced the end of their marriage after 20 years together. The couple shared the news in a joint statement on Instagram, emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting their three sons and maintaining a close relationship.
“After twenty years together, Cat and I have decided to end our marriage and continue alongside one another in a different way,” they said. “We grew up together.
We built a life and a family together. And we are raising three incredible boys who will always be the center of our world.”
The couple, who met during a college dance class and married in 2006, share three sons: Calem, 13, Edan, 12, and Amory, 10. Despite their separation, they expressed gratitude for their shared years and pledged to handle the transition with dignity and respect.
“Nothing can diminish what these years have meant to us – or the love and respect we will always share,” they continued. “The best gift we can give one another – and our boys – right now is friendship, grace, and a commitment to becoming the strongest co-parents we can be.”
They chose not to disclose the reasons behind their decision, instead requesting privacy and compassion as they navigate this new chapter. “Change is hard enough without the whole world weighing in. We hope, especially for the sake of our boys, that you will allow our family to move through this chapter with privacy and compassion,” they added.
Ritchson, 43, recently returned to Prime Video with Reacher season 4 and has also secured a significant Netflix deal. His acting credits include Fast X, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, and the TV series Titans, where he played Hank Hall, also known as Hawk.
Catherine has generally maintained a low profile, occasionally appearing alongside her husband at premieres and events. Ritchson has shared glimpses of their family life through interviews and social media posts.
