Actress Brittany Snow is marking 17 years of recovery from an eating disorder, sharing a heartfelt reflection on her journey and the challenges she faced along the way. Known for her role in Hunting Wives, Snow opened up on Instagram about the difficult place she was in when she decided to begin healing.
“Seventeen years ago, I didn’t know if I would make it,” Snow wrote. “I couldn’t see a future, and I certainly couldn’t imagine one where I would learn to be kind to myself.”
What sustained her through those dark times was a quiet, persistent inner voice urging her not to give up. “Somewhere underneath the noise, there was a tiny voice inside me that kept saying: don’t give up.
There is so much more to your story.”
Snow has been candid about her struggles with anorexia, exercise bulimia, depression, and self-harm-issues that were largely hidden behind her successful career. In a 2025 interview with Self, she shared, “I had so much disdain for my body and I couldn’t see myself as a functional, beautiful being.”
Now, nearly two decades later, her message is one of hope and resilience. “There was so much beauty ahead that I couldn’t see yet.
So much love,” she wrote. Addressing those still battling similar challenges, Snow offered reassurance: “There is life beyond the place you are in today, even if you can’t picture it yet.”
She concluded with a powerful affirmation: “I’m so grateful I stayed.”
