Zahara Jolie, the daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has officially removed her father’s last name, becoming the third of their children to do so. At 21 years old, she now goes by Zahara Marley Jolie, as confirmed by recent court documents.

Smith* in 2004, share six children: Maddox, 25; Pax, 22; Zahara, 21; Shiloh, 20; and twins Vivienne and Knox, both 18. The couple began dating in 2005, married in 2014, and separated two years later.
Their divorce was finalized in December 2024, but ongoing tensions have led several of their children to distance themselves from Pitt.
Earlier filings showed that Shiloh changed her last name following her 18th birthday in 2024, and Vivienne submitted her own name change request in July of this year. Additionally, Maddox’s legal name change, removing Pitt, was approved just recently.
A source told People that Brad Pitt is aware of and saddened by the name changes. “The reminders that he’s lost his children is, of course, not easy for Brad,” the source said.
“He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”
These developments come nearly a decade after a highly publicized incident on a private jet in 2016. Jolie alleged that Pitt subjected her and their children to physical and emotional abuse during the flight, claims which Pitt has consistently denied and was ultimately cleared of after investigation.
Further court documents in 2024 included Jolie’s allegations of a longer history of physical abuse, with claims that the 2016 incident marked the first time Pitt’s alleged abuse extended to the children. Pitt has repeatedly denied these accusations.
Beyond family matters, the former couple has been embroiled in legal battles over their joint business interests, particularly their French winery, Château Miraval. Jolie sold her half of the winery in October 2021 after talks of a buyout by Pitt fell through.
In 2022, Pitt sued Jolie for breaching an agreement that required mutual consent before either could sell their share in the business during the winter months. Jolie responded with a countersuit, accusing Pitt of trying to seize control of the winery and engaging in a “vindictive war” against her since their separation.
The ongoing disputes underscore the complexities of their post-divorce relationship, both personally and professionally.
