Presley Gerber, the model and son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, recorded a video inside a Santa Monica sober living home just hours before his untimely death. The footage, obtained by TMZ, captures Gerber touring the Resolutions Living facility late on the evening of September 19, the night before he was found deceased.
In the video, Gerber is seen wearing a white undershirt, black glasses, and a silver chain. He appears alone as he films various parts of the residence, including a bedroom.
Observers noted that he seemed under the influence, with glazed eyes while addressing the camera. According to sources, Gerber had reportedly used drugs earlier that day and was growing concerned about losing control.
His sober coach reached out to Resolutions Living to arrange for Gerber’s admission despite his intoxicated state. The facility agreed to accept him for a weekend stay, with plans by his coach to move him to a rehabilitation center the following Monday. However, insiders say Gerber continued using drugs after arriving at the sober home.
On the morning of September 20, Santa Monica Police responded to a call reporting a possible overdose at the residence on Berkeley Street. Officers discovered Gerber deceased at the scene. A police spokesperson confirmed the investigation is ongoing and indicated no signs of foul play at this time.
Emergency dispatch audio initially described the incident as a cardiac arrest before reclassifying it as an overdose. While the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has completed an autopsy, the official cause of death remains pending further toxicology results.
Gerber had been open about his struggles with addiction and mental health challenges. Reports also indicate that he was prescribed ketamine by a physician despite a known history with the drug, a fact that reportedly concerned his friends. However, there is no established link between this prescription and his death.
Presley Gerber’s passing, just one day after entering the sober living facility, marks a tragic end to a young life marked by ongoing battles with substance abuse.
