Inside Look: How P Diddy is Running Prison Like a VIP Club

Additional Coverage:

A recent report sheds light on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ experience inside Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey, revealing a lifestyle that defies typical expectations of incarceration.

British-American journalist Rob Shuter, writing on his Naughty But Nice Substack on October 1, cited insider sources describing Combs as effectively “running that prison like he owns the place.” According to these accounts, the hip-hop mogul has been making promises to fellow inmates about opportunities awaiting them once they are released.

Combs, 56, is serving a 50-month sentence handed down in 2025 for offenses related to prostitution. His expected release date has reportedly been moved up to January 21, 2028. Despite reports of a privileged status behind bars, it was also noted that Combs was recently placed back into solitary confinement.

Shuter’s report suggests that inmates vie for Combs’ attention, with some guards even described as starstruck by his presence. Allegedly, Combs has offered other prisoners “jobs, money, opportunities,” and even invitations to his upcoming White Party events. However, insiders express skepticism about whether these promises will come to fruition after release.

Additional details emerged following an NBC News investigation, which interviewed four men housed in the same unit as Combs. They described a range of personal services being performed for him, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, bed-making, and even Chinese-style massages.

One source remarked, “This is not some normal stuff you see in jail. This is some rich stuff.

It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”

Sources also claimed that Combs has access to contraband items such as cellphones and alcohol, a common challenge faced by correctional facilities. A Bureau of Prisons spokesperson declined to comment on individual inmates, citing privacy and security concerns, but acknowledged that contraband remains an ongoing issue.

Following the NBC report, Combs was reportedly placed in solitary confinement once again, according to an informed source. Representatives for Combs did not respond to requests for comment.

This glimpse into Combs’ prison life highlights ongoing questions about privilege and influence behind bars, as well as the challenges correctional institutions face in maintaining order and security.
