Reality TV star Shannon Beador, known for her role in “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” found herself in legal trouble over the weekend. Law enforcement sources have revealed that Beador was arrested for driving under the influence and hit-and-run after crashing her car into a residential property in Newport Beach, California.
According to TMZ, the incident occurred on Saturday night when Beador drove her car onto a residential property and clipped the house. Instead of stopping, she continued driving before eventually parking her vehicle in the middle of the street. Witnesses reported that Beador appeared intoxicated when she got out of the car with her dog, attempting to act as if she was just taking a walk.
Police were called to the scene and quickly realized that Beador was under the influence. She was taken into custody and her car was seized as part of the investigation into the damage caused to the home. The Newport Beach Police Department has confirmed that Beador was booked for two misdemeanors: hit-and-run and DUI alcohol. She was cited and released without bond.
Sources with direct knowledge of the situation have stated that Beador was not filming with Bravo, the network behind “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” at the time of her arrest, as the show is currently not in production.
This latest incident adds to the challenges Beador has faced recently. In January, she publicly discussed her painful split with her boyfriend of three and a half years, John Janssen. Beador revealed that she was blindsided by the breakup, which occurred in November 2022, just weeks after they had finished filming for Season 17 of “RHOC.” She described the breakup as devastating.
TMZ reached out to Beador’s team for comment but has not received a response thus far.
