Taylor Swift once again had a trespasser show up at her door, just days after a man was arrested for trying to access her New York City townhouse. Taylor’s security team and neighbors immediately noticed the man lurking and called the police. The NYPD arrived at the scene and found the suspect just around the corner from Taylor’s residence. He was once again handcuffed and taken into custody. It is unclear at this time what charges the man will face.
The man had previously been arrested for attempting to enter Taylor’s front door without authorization. During the arrest, it was discovered that there was an open warrant for his arrest in a separate case from 2017.
This incident raises concerns, as it comes so shortly after the previous trespassing attempt. It remains to be seen how law enforcement will handle the situation this time around. Unfortunately, celebrities often struggle to find successful deterrents against individuals who become obsessed with them, and the criminal justice system may not always provide adequate protection.
Taylor has dealt with stalkers throughout her career, including a previous incident where someone was arrested for trying to enter her Manhattan residence. It is unclear if this current trespasser is connected to that previous incident.
