Philadelphia police are searching for a teenage murder suspect named Shane Pryor, who escaped from a hospital on Wednesday. The police department has deemed him to be dangerous. Deputy Commissioner of Investigations Frank Vanore provided information about Pryor during a news conference. It was revealed that the 17-year-old was being held on murder charges. Pryor managed to escape from the parking lot of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the afternoon after being brought in for a hand injury. Vanore stated that he eluded staff and fled on foot.

According to Vanore, Pryor is a Black male with a light complexion, standing at 5’7″ and weighing 180 pounds. At the time of his escape, he was wearing blue sweatpants, a blue sweatshirt, and slides with socks. Surveillance footage showed Pryor entering and exiting buildings in the vicinity after his escape, as confirmed by investigators.

The United States Marshals Service in Philadelphia informed the public that Pryor may be in possession of a stolen Ford F-150. They requested assistance from the public in keeping an eye out for the vehicle. Despite the escape, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia has not been placed on lockdown, as authorities believe Pryor is no longer in close proximity to the hospital.

The Philadelphia authorities have urged anyone with information about Pryor to contact 911 and have emphasized the importance of not approaching the suspect directly.
