Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino are set to collaborate once again on Tarantino’s tenth and final film, “The Movie Critic.” Pitt previously won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” in 2019, and their first collaboration in “Inglourious Basterds” in 2009 was also highly praised.

According to Deadline, the new movie is aiming for a 2025 release and Stacey Sher, who worked on Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction,” has joined as a producer. Sony has reportedly acquired the film’s distribution rights.

While Tarantino has not revealed much about the movie’s premise, it is said to be centered around a movie critic in the late 1970s, as indicated by the title.

Filming will take place in Los Angeles, which is Tarantino’s hometown and the cinema capital of the world, as stated by the director himself in a previous statement. It seems fitting for him to shoot his final movie where he first started directing.

Tarantino has been open about his decision to only direct 10 movies. In a previous interview with Playboy, he expressed his belief that directors do not improve with age and often lose touch with audience preferences, with their last four films being their worst.

Additionally, Tarantino may be stepping back from directing to focus on his family, as he has two young children at home.
