**Update at 1:34 PM PT** — The band Train has shared a moving tribute to Charlie Colin, expressing their admiration and love for him from the moment they met. “From the moment I met Charlie Colin, at the front left, it was impossible not to love him.

He was incredibly sweet and such an attractive man. The only logical next step was to start a band together.”

The tribute went on to say, “His exceptional bass and guitar skills were key in making us stand out in San Francisco and beyond. He will always hold a special place in my heart.

Despite my efforts to keep him close, he followed his unique path. Charlie, you are a legend.

Now go and dazzle the angels ❤️🙏⭐.”

Charlie Colin, one of the original members of the band Train, sadly died due to a tragic accident, as confirmed by sources at TMZ. His mother disclosed that Charlie’s death was the result of a fall in the shower while he was house-sitting in Brussels, Belgium. The exact time of the accident remains uncertain.

According to her, it was about five days before Charlie’s friends returned and found him. At the time of his move to Brussels, he was imparting his knowledge at a conservatory through a music master class. Additionally, he was working on a studio project and was close to completing music for a film.

Charlie played a pivotal role in founding the band Train in San Francisco during the mid-90s alongside Pat Monahan, Rob Hotchkiss, Jimmy Stafford, and Scott Underwood. The band hit the mainstream with their debut album “Train” in 1998, featuring iconic songs like “Drops of Jupiter,” “Meet Virginia,” and “Hey, Soul Sister.”

Train earned two Grammy Awards in 2002 for Best Rock Song and Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s). Charlie departed from the band in 2003.

His mother remembers him as a beautiful soul, paying tribute to her son’s remarkable life.
