Prince William Shares Birthday Photo with Children

Additional Coverage:

Princess Kate recently resumed public engagements, appearing for the first time since her cancer diagnosis was made public in March. This return coincided with a parade celebrating King Charles III’s birthday. Amid her treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer, an intimate family photo featuring Prince William and their three children was shared by Kensington Palace in honor of Prince William’s 42nd birthday.

The photograph, captured by Kate in Norfolk, southeast England, during May, was showcased on the couple’s shared social media platforms with a heartfelt note stating, “Happy birthday Papa, we all love you so much!” The message was affectionately signed “Cx,” a known nickname for the Princess of Wales, commonly referred to as Princess Kate.

Further adding to the celebrations, the Royal Family’s official social media account, which represents King Charles III and Queen Camilla, extended a warm birthday wish to the Prince of Wales, accompanied by a throwback photo of a young Prince William with King Charles.

The newly released image depicts a joyful moment with Prince William alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, leaping off a sand dune, demonstrating a lighter side of royal life.

It was also disclosed that King Charles is currently receiving treatment for cancer, though the specifics regarding the type of cancer affecting both him and Kate have not been disclosed.

Earlier in March, Kate addressed a misunderstanding caused by a digitally altered photo of her with her children, shared in observance of the U.K.’s Mother’s Day. She clarified her actions after the edited image led to speculation about her health, particularly as it was posted amid her temporary withdrawal from public engagements and prior to her cancer diagnosis announcement.
