A new video reveals that Florida rapper Julio Foolio was ambushed and killed almost instantly when assailants attacked near a hotel. The incident occurred in Tampa on June 23, just two days following Foolio’s 26th birthday.

The surveillance footage captured from a parking lot shared by a Hilton and a Holiday Inn shows the assailants lying in wait for Foolio’s black vehicle. Foolio, a Jacksonville native, had been celebrating with friends and had moved from an Airbnb to the hotel, sharing updates on his Instagram just before the attack.

The video details a masked gunman running across the parking lot at 4:37 AM, armed with a semi-automatic rifle, and opening fire on the vehicle. As Foolire and his companions tried to escape, dodging around a corner, their car struck a curb. There seemed to be additional shooters present at the scene.

During the assault, which unfolded at point-blank range, Foolio was fatally shot. Three other passengers in the car sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The attackers managed to escape.

Following the tragedy, Foolio’s mother issued a statement acknowledging her son’s controversial lifestyle and announced plans to release a documentary on his life.

Speculation has arisen among fans suggesting that Foolio might be staging his death following a post on his active Instagram account, which displayed a video using AI to depict Foolio as WWE’s Undertaker. Tampa Police have yet to provide updates on their ongoing investigation into the shooting.
