However, the author notes some drawbacks like the reliance on driving for transportation, contrasting with the walkability of New York City and Buenos Aires. She also misses the rich cultural scene of New York, although they occasionally drive to Boston for concerts, which is a considerable commute.

Despite these trade-offs, the family has found their move to Maine enriching, fostering both a closer community connection and a more active lifestyle for their children.
