Over the recent weekend in Romania, Wiz Khalifa, the famous rapper whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, found himself in legal trouble after reportedly using marijuana during a performance at the Beach Please! Festival. Videos circulating on social media depict him smoking while on stage.

Romanian law enforcement confirmed the arrest of a person at the festival for “illegal possession of high-risk drugs.” According to the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism, this individual had over 18 grams of cannabis and smoked a makeshift cannabis cigarette during a performance at the Costinești resort in Constanta county.

In related news, Khalifa was seen in footage being escorted by police following his festival performance.

Khalifa recently announced the launch of his new venture, Mistercap’s, a brand that seems to delve into the world of psychedelics by specializing in mushrooms.

Responding to his arrest, Khalifa took to X on Sunday, expressing regret for his actions at the festival. He stated, “Last night’s show was amazing.

I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up onstage. They were very respectful and let me go.

I’ll be back soon. But without a big (expletive) joint next time.”

Looking ahead, the Grammy-nominated artist is set to make his next appearance at Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub in Las Vegas on August 30, as listed on his official website.

USA TODAY has contacted both law enforcement and Khalifa’s representatives for further comments on the incident.
