In Kenya, a 33-year-old man named Collins Jumaisi Khalusha has been arrested and charged by the National Police for being a “psychopathic serial killer,” having reportedly confessed to the murders of 42 women, including his wife, his first acknowledged victim. This chilling revelation was disclosed by Mohammed Amiss, the chief of Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations during a press briefing in Nairobi. According to authorities, Khalusha’s most recent killings occurred just days before his capture, and he began his alleged murder spree in 2022.

The key breakthrough in the case came from tracing the mobile money transactions conducted using victim Josphine Owino’s phone, leading detectives directly to Khalusha. He was apprehended outside a nightclub while watching the European soccer championship final, subsequently admitting to attracting, killing, and disposing of the bodies of his victims near Kware dump, an old quarry now used as a trash site. Notably, some of the murdered women’s remains had been discovered in this area last week.

In his rented accommodation a mere 300 feet from the Kware dumpsite, police found Khalusha allegedly preparing to ensnare another victim, identified only as Susan. During his arrest, authorities seized various items from Khalusha’s possession, including multiple cell phones, SIM cards, IDs, and a machete believed to be used for dismembering his victims.

Further investigations are ongoing, with additional police deployed to examine the site and conduct autopsies on the bodies found. This horrific scenario surfaced as the nation already grapples with the trial of a doomsday cult leader accused of causing the deaths of over 400 people, leading to widespread shock and concern among the Kenyan public.
