Richard Simmons’ housekeeper attempted to convince him to seek medical help after he had an accident in his bathroom, opting to stay in due to his birthday, according to TMZ. Simmons experienced a fall at his residence Friday night and felt dizzy prior to the incident. His housekeeper, who found him on the floor, urged him to go to a doctor immediately, but Simmons postponed the idea, hoping to spend his 76th birthday at home instead.
The following morning, around 10 AM, the same housekeeper discovered Simmons unresponsive next to his bed. Despite showing no clear signs of physical injuries such as bumps, bruises, or bleeding, the exact connection between his dizziness, the fall, and his subsequent death remains unclear.
Simmons was declared deceased at the scene, and authorities have indicated that there appeared to be no foul play involved. Although an autopsy has been conducted, the specific cause of death has not yet been determined and is pending the results of toxicology tests.
