In Los Angeles on Wednesday, a man involved in an armed robbery led police on a high-speed chase while broadcasting the ordeal live on Instagram from his car, with his girlfriend and their infant child also inside. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, who spoke to the L.A. Times, the man is allegedly one of three individuals linked to a robbery in Beverly Hills.

Broadcasts from news helicopters showed the exterior of the chase while the suspect streamed from the driver’s seat, capturing the tense atmosphere inside the packed vehicle. During the live stream, the woman can be heard pleading with the man to stop the car, concerned for their child’s safety.

As the chase unfolded, the woman alternated between pleading, berating, and crying while the man expressed his fear of returning to jail. After much persuasion, he eventually pulled over. Upon stopping, the man stepped out of the car, shared an emotional moment with his girlfriend and child, and then surrendered to the police.

The officers apprehended him following a lengthy pursuit that ended in a dead-end street in a West Los Angeles neighborhood. He was the final suspect detained in connection with the robbery, following the earlier arrest of two other individuals. The dramatic chase and arrest were covered extensively by local news, including FOX 11.
