In a recent discussion with reporters at the CBS Summer TCA presentation, Emily Osment expressed her admiration for her brother Haley Joel Osment, suggesting that he should take on roles as a writer and director, and humorously hinting that he should cast her in his projects. Despite not having any collaborative projects currently planned, Emily reflected positively on their past work together in shows like “The Kominsky Method” and their voice acting in “Family Guy.”

Emily, who portrayed Theresa in “The Kominsky Method” from 2018 to 2021, shared her challenging experience of working during the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that having her brother on set was a significant comfort. Haley, who joined the Netflix series as Robby a year after Emily, acknowledged her longer tenure on the show and expressed his joy in being part of an inviting cast.

Both siblings have had extensive acting careers beginning from their childhood. Haley’s notable early roles include his appearances in “Lies of the Heart: The Story of Laurie Kellogg” and “Forrest Gump,” culminating in an Oscar nomination for his role in “The Sixth Sense.” He continues his successful career with upcoming projects like “Blink Twice” and the second season of “Wednesday” on Netflix.

Emily made her acting debut in 1999 and became well-known for her role as Lilly Truscott in “Hannah Montana.” She continues to be active in the industry, involved in projects including a “Young Sheldon” spinoff titled “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” set to premiere on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

As the new show approaches, Emily and her onscreen partner Montana Jordan are preparing for the live audience, with Emily sharing insights from her previous experiences in multicamera shows like “Hannah Montana” and “Young & Hungry.”

Emily remains hopeful that her brother Haley will create the perfect role for her in the future as she continues her acting journey alongside him in the entertainment industry.
