BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU cornerback Javien Toviano turned himself in to law enforcement on Sunday facing accusations of video voyeurism, as reported by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The 19-year-old athlete from Arlington, Texas, is charged with illicitly recording intimate acts with a woman without her consent. An arrest warrant detailed that the woman discovered footage on Toviano’s iPad, which was secretly captured using a camera hidden in a clock near the bed, as per The Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate.

The victim informed authorities that this was not the first instance of being recorded by Toviano without permission, despite her explicit request for him not to do so.

During an interrogation, Toviano confessed to detectives that he had used the concealed camera to record the sexual activity, the arrest documents revealed.

As of now, no bond information has been released, and it remains unclear whether Toviano has legal representation.

Following the charges, LSU has temporarily suspended Toviano from all team activities, adhering to university policies. The LSU administration declined further comment, citing the ongoing legal procedures.

Toviano, who joined LSU last year, played in all the games of his freshman season, starting in three towards the end. He concluded the season with 33 tackles and one pass breakup. He was slated to vie for significant playing time as a cornerback in the upcoming preseason, which starts on August 1.
