Zak Williams, the son of the beloved late actor Robin Williams, recently commemorated what would have been his father’s 73rd birthday with a heartfelt message on social media. On July 21, Zak, who is 41, expressed his emotions, stating, “Dad, on what would be your 73rd birthday, I remember you for all the hope and joy you brought to the world.” Robin Williams passed away at the age of 63 in August 2014.

In his tribute, Zak reflected on the impact his father had on others, noting, “There’s not a week that goes by without someone sharing with me how you helped them through a dark time or a rough patch. I’m so grateful to be your son.

Love you forever.” His post included a nostalgic black and white photo of Robin smiling broadly while seated on the ground leaning against a couch.

Zak is not only known for his relationship to his famous father but also for his work as a mental health advocate and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and CEO of Prepare Your Find (PYM), a company that produces dietary supplements.

Robin Williams faced many challenges throughout his life, including battles with substance abuse and severe depression. He was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease a year before his death, with the early symptoms starting in 2013.

Family continues to be a central part of Zak’s life. He welcomed his first child, McLaurin Clement Williams, named after Robin’s middle name, in June 2019 with his now-wife, Olivia June.

The couple, who married after their first child’s birth, later welcomed a daughter, Zola June Williams, in June 2021. Zak’s first child’s name is a direct homage to his father.

Robin Williams was married three times and had three children. Zak is his oldest child, whom he had with his first wife, Valerie Velardi.

The couple divorced in 1981. Robin later had two more children, Zelda and Cody, with his second wife, Marsha Garces, whom he divorced in 2008.

He married his third wife, Susan Schneider Williams, in 2011.

Zelda, like her brother, has publicly shared her struggles with grief since her father’s death. In an interview on Chelsea in August 2016, she discussed how she coped by immersing herself in writing, producing a dozen scripts during a period when she found herself somewhat isolated.
