John Schneider, renowned for his role on “Dukes of Hazzard,” recently married Dee Dee Sorvino, the widow of actor Paul Sorvino, in Las Vegas. This comes about two years after the death of Schneider’s previous wife. The wedding ceremony took place at the Vegas Weddings venue on a Tuesday night, where the newlyweds made their getaway in a convertible previously owned by the musician Usher.
Plans for a reception are set for August 1 at the Hollywood Museum in Los Angeles, a location significant to the couple as it is where they first met. Both Schneider and Sorvino have experienced the loss of their previous spouses; Schneider’s wife, Alicia Allain, passed away last year from breast cancer, and Sorvino’s husband, Paul, known for his roles in “Goodfellas” and “Romeo + Juliet,” died the previous year due to natural causes after a series of health issues.
Schneider opened up about his new relationship earlier this year on an episode of “Grace Begins, The Podcast,” where he shared that finding someone who could relate to his grief was a divine intervention.
