Shapiro is considered a prominent contender, alongside figures such as Senator Mark Kelly from Arizona, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
Vice President Harris is slated to announce her choice for a running mate by Monday, and plans to appear with the chosen candidate at their inaugural campaign event in Philadelphia on Tuesday evening. Details regarding the location of this campaign event in Philadelphia remain undisclosed.
Governor Shapiro has been a supporter of Vice President Harris, especially since President Biden withdrew from the 2024 race, which also includes former President Donald Trump and Senator JD Vance from Ohio.
