GRAND BLANC, Mich. — Stewart Cink clinched his first PGA Tour Champions victory at The Ally Challenge on Sunday, carding a 6-under 66 to win by four strokes.

At 51, Cink marked his 10th start on the senior circuit with a win, becoming one of only 22 golfers to secure victories across the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions, and Korn Ferry Tour.

This victory comes roughly five months after he failed to capitalize on a late lead in Tucson. “Certainly, having been close to the lead initially motivated me,” Cink reflected.

“Although I know my potential to win, we often focus on the improbable failures rather than the probable successes. Tucson was an outlier, but it happened.”

Cink completed the tournament tied with the 2021 record set by Joe Durant at Warwick Hills, finishing 17-under 199. Despite 14 events this season and a best finish tied for 24th at the Sony Open in Hawaii, Cink’s performance this weekend was outstanding.

“I’m really proud of how I managed to stay focused and give my best on every single shot,” Cink said. “Today, I played some of my best golf in a long time.”

Following Cink, K.J. Choi finished second with a 67, while Mike Weir was close behind after shooting a 64. Darren Clarke rounded out the leaders at 10 under with a closing 67.

Bernhard Langer, a 66-year-old with a record 46 PGA Tour Champions victories, finished tied with David Duval and others at 9 under.
