Expectant mother Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her partner, Ken Urker, recently enjoyed some leisure time outdoors as summer winds down. Blanchard, who is 33, shared an image on her Instagram Story last Sunday, showing the couple kayaking together. In the photograph, Blanchard, dressed in a vibrant red swimsuit, is seen sitting behind Urker as he kneels in the kayak.
Blanchard captioned the image, “Kayaking with Ken,” and included a pink heart emoji. She also posted a few selfies from a beach outing, wearing the same red swimsuit and coordinating lipstick, with her hair styled back. Alongside these images, she expressed her joy over the weekend spent by the lake with her family and Ken, adding a loving comment on the post.
This outing follows the couple’s announcement two months prior that they are expecting their first child. In a YouTube announcement made in July, Blanchard revealed she was 11 weeks pregnant, expecting the arrival of their baby in January 2025. While the pregnancy was unplanned, both Blanchard and Urker expressed their excitement about becoming parents.
Further excitement was shared in August when Blanchard announced they were expecting a girl. In a heartfelt Instagram video, she and Urker joyously told their unborn daughter, “Sweetie, I’m your mom” and “I’m your dad,” followed by the reveal, “You are a girl!”
Blanchard has not been shy about sharing her personal milestones with her followers, from the announcement of her pregnancy to hosting a revelatory party about the baby’s gender. Her journey has captivated many, especially since her high-profile release from Missouri’s Chillicothe Correctional Center in December 2023.
Blanchard served seven years for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, orchestrated with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, in 2015. She pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was initially sentenced to 10 years but was granted parole in September 2023.
Following her imprisonment, Blanchard briefly engaged to Urker in 2018, only to part ways and later marry Ryan Anderson in 2022. However, her relationship with Anderson ended in divorce earlier this year, after which she rekindled her relationship with Urker, marking a new beginning for both.
