Graham Issues Dire Warning to Hamas Leader: “We’re Gonna Kill You”

Additional Coverage:

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has made stark threats against Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who is believed to be one of the masterminds behind the October 7 attack on Israel, suggesting that if Donald Trump secures a second presidency, Sinwar’s life would be targeted. In a Fox News interview on “Hannity,” Graham harshly criticized the Biden administration’s strategy in dealing with Iran and its associated groups in the Middle East, implying a more aggressive stance could be expected under Trump.

Graham argued that under Trump’s leadership, Americans held hostage would likely be returned as he would hold Iran’s Supreme Leader accountable for their safety, mentioning, “If they don’t come home, you’re going to pay a price.” He accused President Joe Biden of empowering Iran financially and perceiving him as weak, a view he claimed extends to Vice President Kamala Harris as well.

“God help our friends in Israel. Donald Trump is on the way,” Graham added.

Furthermore, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland announced charges against Sinwar and others involved in the October 7 incidents, defining the assault as the most severe terrorist act performed by Hamas to date and a massacre comparable in scale to the Holocaust during World War II. Garland emphasized that these charges represent just a segment of the Justice Department’s broader initiative against Hamas.

Despite the indictment, Graham dismissed it as ineffective during the same Tuesday interview, stating, “We’ve lost deterrence. Nobody is afraid of Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.”

He went on to express his disdain for the approach of treating the situation as a mere criminal act rather than a wartime act, voicing a blunt threat towards Sinwar: “We’re not going to indict you. We’re going to kill you.”

Requests for comments were sent to the Biden administration, as well as the Trump and Harris campaigns. For updates, follow news from The Hill.
