Harris and Walz to Begin ‘New Way Forward’ Tour After Debate

Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D), her running mate, are set to rally supporters in key swing states following Tuesday’s presidential debate between Harris and former President Donald Trump.

Starting Thursday, Harris’s campaign will embark on what they are calling the “New Way Forward Tour,” kicking off two days after the debate and a day after Harris commemorates the anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

On Thursday, Vice President Harris will be in North Carolina, followed by a visit to Pennsylvania on Friday. Governor Walz will be making stops in Nevada on Tuesday, Michigan on Thursday, and Wisconsin on Friday. Additionally, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and Walz’s wife, Gwen, will travel to significant swing states, including Arizona, Georgia, New Hampshire, and Maine.

The campaign will also debut a new advertisement titled “New Way Forward,” featuring Harris’s key policy initiatives such as a ban on price gouging and increased investments in housing. This ad will run in Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Nebraska.

“This election is about two very different visions for our country,” said Michael Tyler, Harris campaign communications director. “Donald Trump and JD Vance want to take us backward with their extreme Project 2025 agenda. Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are advocating for a New Way Forward that safeguards our fundamental freedoms, bolsters our democracy, and ensures everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”

“With early voting starting soon and fewer than 60 days until Election Day, our campaign will bring the vice president’s message directly to the voters — through media, door-to-door efforts, and online,” Tyler continued. “With so much at stake, we are intensely focusing on battleground states.”

The debate between Harris and Trump is scheduled for Tuesday night in Philadelphia and will be hosted by ABC News. While the Harris campaign has indicated the possibility of a second debate in October, no such event has been confirmed. A vice presidential debate is scheduled for October 1.
