**Elon Musk Takes Jab at Taylor Swift After Her Endorsement of Kamala Harris**
On Wednesday morning, Elon Musk responded sharply to Taylor Swift’s recent endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris. Swift concluded her Instagram post with the moniker “Childless Cat Lady.” Musk reacted on X, saying, “Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”
Swift’s Instagram post, which was published Tuesday night, came after Harris participated in her first presidential debate against former President Donald Trump. In the post, Swift announced her intention to vote for Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election, praising Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” who can guide the country with calm rather than chaos.
Swift’s use of “Childless Cat Lady” appeared to be a subtle swipe at Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, who made controversial remarks about childless people during a 2021 Fox News interview.
Representatives for both Swift and Musk have not yet commented on the exchange, which took place outside regular business hours. Swift has also not responded to Musk’s post as of now.
Despite this friction, Musk has previously shown support for Swift. He complimented her album “The Tortured Poets Department” after its release, saying, “I’m not quite the target audience, but nonetheless very impressive indeed!” However, Swift’s endorsement of Harris now places her in opposition to Musk, who endorsed Trump in July and has become a vocal advocate for the former president, even expressing interest in working for a potential Trump administration.
In another X post on Wednesday, Musk acknowledged Harris’s performance in the debate, but reiterated his support for Trump, arguing that Trump is better suited to accomplish tasks rather than just talking about them.
