Chad McQueen, widely recognized for his role as Dutch in the ‘Karate Kid’ movie series, has passed away, TMZ reports.
On Wednesday, Chad died of organ failure at his ranch in Palm Desert, CA, as confirmed by his longtime attorney, Arthur Barens.
A few years ago, Chad sustained an injury that led to progressive organ failure, eventually resulting in his death.
Chad’s children, his life partner, and his lawyer were by his side when he passed away.

Chad, the only son of Steve McQueen, is perhaps best remembered for his role as Dutch in the iconic 1984 film “The Karate Kid” and its 1986 sequel, “The Karate Kid II.” Additionally, he starred in the 1993 movie “Firepower.”

Contrary to some rumors, Chad did not reprise his ‘Karate Kid’ character for the final season of “Cobra Kai,” according to his lawyer speaking to TMZ.
Outside his acting career, Chad was also known as a professional racer. He competed in various racing events, including the Baja 1000 and Motocross, and won the World Mini Grand Prix at the age of 12.
During the filming of the 1971 racing movie “Le Mans,” Chad would sit on his father’s lap behind the wheel of a Porsche 917 and reach speeds of up to 100 MPH, even at the tender age of 10. He also raced on a children’s go-kart track set up on the “Le Mans” movie set.

His attorney remembers Chad as “a one of a kind guy who will be missed.”
Chad McQueen was 63. Rest in peace.
