### Kennedy’s Daughter Reveals He Transported a Whale Skull on His Car Roof

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced on Saturday that he is under investigation for allegedly decapitating a dead whale and transporting its skull across state lines many years ago.
Kennedy made this revelation during a campaign event for former President Trump, stating that he received a notice from the National Marine Fisheries Institute about a week ago. This development comes after a left-wing environmental group reignited the whale story, urging authorities to investigate.
“I got a letter from the National Marine Fisheries Institute saying they are investigating me for collecting a whale specimen 20 years ago,” Kennedy disclosed on Saturday, adding, “This is all about the weaponization of our government against political opponents.”
Details of the incident were first made public in a 2012 interview with Kennedy’s daughter, Kick Kennedy, in Town and Country Magazine. Kick recounted how her father severed the head of a deceased whale and secured it to the roof of their car.
They then drove from a Massachusetts beach to Mount Kisco, New York. She humorously noted that whale fluids seeped into the car as they drove, and they wore plastic bags over their heads with mouth holes cut out to cope with the smell.
The Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund has argued that the whale was protected under the Marine Mammal Protection Act and Endangered Species Act, which would make possessing any part of the animal illegal. They also contended that this act likely violated the 1900 Lacey Act, which forbids transporting wildlife obtained in violation of any state, federal, or international law.
Kennedy has countered, alleging that left-wing groups are using the government to target him for political reasons. The story was resurfaced shortly after Kennedy dropped out of the 2024 presidential race and endorsed Trump.
The controversy doesn’t stop with the whale incident. Kennedy has also admitted to disposing of a dead bear’s body in New York City’s Central Park over ten years ago.
