Tito Jackson, Member of Jackson 5, Passes Away at 70

Tito Jackson, the third child of the renowned Jackson family, has passed away at the age of 70. Known as a member of the iconic Jackson 5, Tito was a beloved figure in the music industry.

His sons, TJ, Taj, and Taryll, announced the news in a social media statement, expressing their grief and admiration for their father.

Tito, born Toriano Adaryll Jackson, was the rhythm guitarist and background vocalist for the Jackson 5. The group, which included his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael, soared to fame in the 1970s with hits like "ABC" and "I Want You Back."

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, became a global superstar, but Tito remained a dedicated member of the family band. After Michael’s untimely death in 2009, Tito spoke of the family’s bond being strengthened.

Tito released his debut solo album, "Tito Time," in 2016. He continued to perform with his brothers and promoted the legacy of the Jackson 5.

Tito is survived by his three sons, his siblings Jermaine, Randy, Marlon, Jackie, Janet, Rebbie, and Latoya, and their mother, Katherine.
