- Ukraine says it wiped a key Russian missile and artillery arsenal ‘off the face of the earth’ in long-range strikes (newsbreak.com)
Ukrainian forces launched a drone strike on a Russian weapons depot in the Tver region, destroying a warehouse containing ballistic missiles, artillery, and bombs.
The attack, which took place overnight, marks the latest in a series of Ukrainian long-range strikes against Russian targets inside Russia.
Ukraine used domestically produced attack drones to carry out the strike, as it is barred from using Western-provided missiles to target Russia.
The drone attack caused extensive damage to the facility, triggering explosions and a large fire.
The Ukrainian Security Service said the attack was part of efforts to "reduce the missile potential" of Russia and will continue to target Russian military facilities supporting the war.
Satellite imagery before and after the strike shows the extent of the damage.
Russia claims to have shot down dozens of Ukrainian drones on Wednesday, though it did not provide details on their locations.
