Celebrity Inmates in Brooklyn Detention Center
Sean "Diddy" Combs has joined a list of infamous celebrity criminals held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. The facility has housed R. Kelly, sentenced to 30 years for sex trafficking, and Ghislaine Maxwell, accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein, who received a 20-year prison term.
Other notable inmates include rappers 6ix9ine and Fetty Wap, and Martin Shkreli, known as the "pharma bro." The jail has faced criticism for its harsh conditions, with inmates suing over lack of heat, medical care, and phone access during a power outage.
Diddy Denied Bail
Combs remains in custody after a judge ruled he poses a risk of witness tampering. Prosecutors cited text messages alleging threats by Combs to intimidate accusers. Combs’ attorney plans to appeal the bail denial.
