- Mother of Georgia school shooting suspect indicted on elder abuse charges, report says (newsbreak.com)
Marcee Gray, the mother of the Georgia teen charged in the Apalachee High School shooting, faces charges of domestic violence against her mother.
The charges include exploiting and intimidating a disabled person, false imprisonment, and theft. These charges are unrelated to the school shooting in which her son, Colt, is accused of killing four people.
Marcee Gray’s indictment stems from an incident in November 2023, where she allegedly taped her 73-year-old mother to a chair and damaged her home.
Her father, Colin Gray, was arrested for murder and other charges related to the school shooting.
Marcee Gray could face up to 20 years in prison for the felony charge of elder exploitation. She previously pleaded guilty to other charges and received a five-year sentence, with time served already.
