Reality Star’s Prison Sentence Recalculated

Julie Chrisley, star of "Chrisley Knows Best," has received a resentencing in her fraud case. An appeals court had previously ruled that her initial 84-month sentence was miscalculated.

Tears in Court

On Wednesday, a federal judge in Georgia ruled that Julie’s original sentence was appropriate. In a tearful address to the court, she apologized for her actions and their impact on her family. Her children, Savannah and Chase, were present.

Revised Fraud Involvement

The appeals court found that there was no evidence Julie was involved in the entire fraud scheme dating back to 2006. As a result, her sentence was vacated and sent back to the lower court for recalculation.

Ongoing Legal Battle

Julie and her husband, Todd Chrisley, were convicted of tax evasion and fraud in 2022. They are currently serving prison sentences. The family is continuing to fight for their release, challenging the search warrant that initiated the case.
