New Judge Oversees Sean “Diddy” Combs Sex-Trafficking Case

A new federal judge, Arun Subramanian, has taken over the high-profile case involving Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is accused of sex trafficking. The same judge is also handling the Justice Department’s antitrust lawsuit against Ticketmaster.

Subramanian’s appointment may offer Combs a glimmer of hope, as he remains in custody and has been denied bail twice. Combs’ attorneys may now argue for bail before a new judge.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which allege he coerced women into sexual acts over a decade. He has previously offered a $50 million bond, but both a magistrate judge and another federal judge have denied his bail requests.

The defense has not yet indicated whether they will file a third bail request with Subramanian.

Subramanian is a busy judge who is also overseeing the Ticketmaster case, which is not expected to go to trial until 2026. The judge will preside over pretrial proceedings, which include depositions from numerous witnesses.
