Spencer Family Reunites on ‘General Hospital’
Genie Francis, known as Laura Spencer in the soap opera “General Hospital,” will return to the show, reuniting with her onscreen son Lucky, played by Jonathan Jackson. The duo will appear together for the first time in almost a decade.
Francis, 62, has played Laura for over 1,700 episodes since 1977. This is not her first return to the show after leaving.
She previously rejoined in 2013 and 2018. Her character is known for her relationship with Luke Spencer, with whom she has two children: Lucky and Lulu.
Jackson has played Lucky since he was 11 years old in 1993. He has also made guest appearances on the show in 2009 and 2015. The mother-son duo’s upcoming appearance will be their first since 2015.
According to executive producer Frank Valentini, the show is moving forward with its history, focusing on nostalgia for long-time fans while introducing new storylines. Francis expressed pride in being a part of “General Hospital,” which has been on the air for 60 years.
