Bargatze’s ‘Washington’s Dream’ Sequel Wins Over SNL Fans

Additional Coverage:

Saturday Night Live’s “Washington’s Dream” sketch returned with another hilarious episode.

George Washington (Nate Bargatze) shared his hopes for a nation with a unique language. He envisioned a “dozen” as the only number with its own word.

The sketch poked fun at American English, where words like “donut” have different spellings and animals have different names depending on their status (e.g., cows as beef).

Fans praised the sequel, saying it surpassed expectations. They also used it to criticize the recent “Joker” movie sequel’s poor reception.

Last year’s “Washington’s Dream” sketch targeted American measurements. Washington proposed a system with gallons, pints, quarts, and liters, but only for certain liquids.

Saturday Night Live’s latest episode also featured a humorous take on the vice presidential debate. JD Vance and Tim Walz’s intense staring contest amused Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff, leading Harris to question their unexpected connection.
