Mother of Sean “Diddy” Combs Defends Son Against Allegations
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother, Janice Small Combs, has publicly denied the serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering against her son. She described the allegations as “lies” and expressed her “devastation” over them.
Combs has been detained in Manhattan since last month after being denied bail. His mother acknowledged that her son had “made mistakes” in the past, but she defended his character, stating that he is “not a monster.”
Small Combs expressed frustration that her son was being judged based on “a narrative created out of lies.” She believes some of the accusers are motivated by financial gain.
Despite admitting that Combs may have concealed some truths, such as denying a violent incident with an ex-girlfriend, his mother believes the video evidence used against him was misconstrued by the federal government.
Combs will appear in court on Wednesday, where his lawyers will argue for his release on bail. Prosecutors have previously argued that he poses a risk to the trial due to alleged witness tampering.
