Mark Cuban Was Once Broke Before Becoming a Millionaire

Additional Coverage:

Mark Cuban, a billionaire and former “Shark Tank” star, recently revealed that he lived in a dilapidated Dallas apartment in the 1980s.

Cuban, now a wealthy Dallas resident, recalled sleeping on the apartment floor with five roommates. He described the living conditions as “nasty,” with no personal closet or drawers.

Cuban moved to Dallas after college, lured by promises of good weather and attractive women. He landed a job selling software but was fired before making a significant sale.

Undeterred, Cuban started his own company, MicroSolutions, which grew rapidly and was sold for $6 million in 1990. With the proceeds, Cuban bought an American Airlines pass and traveled extensively.

After his appearance on “Shark Tank,” Cuban purchased the Dallas Mavericks basketball team and later sold his majority stake for billions of dollars. Recently, he has been vocal in his support of Vice President Kamala Harris.
