Pilot Dies, Turkish Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing

A Turkish Airlines plane made an emergency landing at JFK Airport in New York after the pilot collapsed mid-flight.

The pilot, İlçehin Pehlivan, 59, died despite attempts to revive him. He had passed a health exam just months before the incident.

The plane was en route from Seattle to Istanbul when the pilot became unresponsive. The crew attempted to save him but were unsuccessful.

Passengers will be flown to Istanbul from JFK. Turkish Airlines expressed condolences to Pehlivan’s family and loved ones.
