Ukraine Strikes Russian Military Targets for Second Day

Additional Coverage:

Ukrainian forces have recently launched a series of successful strikes deep into Russian territory, targeting military infrastructure.

On Thursday, Ukrainian forces struck a military airfield in the southwestern Republic of Adygea, causing damage to an ammunition depot and the airfield.

This attack comes after previous strikes on an ammunition depot and a drone storage facility in Russia.

Ukraine has been using domestically produced long-range drones to carry out these operations, as it is not allowed to use Western-supplied missiles to strike inside Russia.

Western officials and analysts believe that Ukraine’s deep-strike campaign will place additional operational pressure on Russian forces in Ukraine.

These strikes underscore Ukraine’s ability to reach deep into Russia and the repeated failure of Russian air defenses to protect its military installations.
