Oregon upsets Ohio State in close game

In a thrilling upset, third-ranked Oregon defeated No. 2 Ohio State 32-31. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel led the Ducks with two touchdown passes and a late rushing touchdown.

Oregon’s Jordan James rushed for 115 yards and a score, while Gabriel passed for 341 yards and ran for 32 yards.

After Ohio State took an early lead, Oregon rallied with touchdowns by James and Evan Stewart. However, Ohio State regained the lead on Emeka Egbuka’s touchdown reception.

Late in the game, Gabriel scored on a 27-yard run to give Oregon the lead. Ohio State responded with a field goal, but Oregon added a field goal to extend their lead to 32-31.

Ohio State had a chance to tie the game with a field goal, but a penalty pushed them back and they were unable to convert on third down.

Despite Ohio State’s loss, Will Howard threw for 336 yards and two touchdowns, and Smith had nine catches for 100 yards and a score.

Oregon fans celebrated the victory by rushing the field, while the Ducks’ mascot surfed over their shoulders.
