Kentucky Woman Indicted for Murder

Police in Mount Olivet, Kentucky, have charged 32-year-old Torilena Fields with murdering her mother, Trudy Fields. Police responded to a call on Wednesday and discovered Trudy’s dismembered body inside and outside her home.

Fields was initially arrested for abuse of a corpse, evidence tampering, and obstruction. A grand jury indictment on Monday accused her of shooting and stabbing her mother before dismembering her body. She is also charged with killing a dog.

Fields’ bond was set at $1.5 million. She is currently without an attorney and has been assigned a public defender. The indictment states that Trudy Fields was killed between October 8th and 9th.

Police found charred human remains in a steel pot in the oven, which the indictment identified as Trudy Fields’ remains. Fields initially refused to exit the house after police discovered her mother’s body but eventually surrendered after officers used gas and a robot to communicate with her.
