Pentagon: No Limits on Ukraine’s Use of US Weapons Against North Korean Soldiers

The Pentagon has declared that there will be no restrictions on Ukraine’s use of American weapons if North Korean troops join the conflict. The announcement comes after the US pledged $425 million in military aid to Ukraine.

When asked about potential implications of using US weapons against North Korean soldiers, Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh stated that North Korean troops are considered “co-belligerents” and that Ukraine has the right to defend its territory.

The Pentagon estimates that around 10,000 North Korean soldiers have entered Russia, with some moving towards Ukraine’s border. Pentagon Press Secretary Pat Ryder expressed concern that Russia may use these soldiers in combat.

Ryder noted that the influx of North Korean troops indicates Russia’s manpower shortage and the challenges it faces in sustaining its forces. The Pentagon is monitoring the situation closely and consulting with Ukraine and its allies.
