During the Florida Gators-Georgia Bulldogs game, body camera footage captured a physical altercation between police officers and a spectator. The incident began when two officers approached the man, who was sitting in a restricted area.
After the officers instructed him to move, the man became confrontational and threatened to harm one of the officers. As the situation escalated, one of the officers used a Taser on the man. However, the man continued to resist arrest and hurled racial slurs at the Black officer.
The officers eventually subdued the man and placed him in handcuffs. The incident is currently being investigated by the sheriff’s office.
Separately, another altercation occurred at Everbank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida. Two officers were filmed using excessive force against two fans. The sheriff’s office is also investigating this incident.
